1. कबीरा खड़ा बाजार में, मांगे सबकी खैर।
ना काहू से दोस्ती, ना काहू से बैर।
English Translation:
Kabira stands in the marketplace, wishing everyone well.
No affinity for anyone, no enmity to quell.
2. माटी कहे कुम्हार से, तु क्यों रोंदे मोय।
एक दिन ऐसा आएगा, मैं रोंदूंगा तोय।
English Translation:
The clay says to the potter, "Why do you keep kneading me?"
A day will come when I will knead you into dust.
3. जिन्ह दुख में न ताके धीर, जिन्ह नीचे न जाके नीच।
जिन्ह बीत गये कबीर से, परम जनम न बीच।
English Translation:
Those who do not lose their patience in times of sorrow,
Who do not lower themselves in the lowest of circumstances,
Those who have transcended the cycle of birth and death, Kabir is one of them.
4. जैसे कुंजी किए बिना ताल, तब लागे अजाहर।
जैसे काटिए बिना बंधन, तब लागे अतिकार।
English Translation:
Just as a lock is useless without a key, it becomes meaningful when they unite.
Similarly, a knot is meaningless without a thread; it's significant when they come together.
5. कबीरा सोई पीर है, जो जाने पर जाने।
बांधा मिले न बोइये, दिल से जो आवें जाने।
English Translation:
Kabira is the true saint who knows by knowing.
One is not bound by rituals; only those who come with a sincere heart know.
6. सांपत सिमटि के खाय, मनबचन सिमटि जाय।
नम्रता सिमटि कर लीजै, तब ही गया गबार घाय।
English Translation:
Constricting your wealth and words, control your ego,
Only then will the venom of arrogance subside.
7. चाहे जो तुरक या ब्राह्मण, चाहे ये योगी सियाना।
सब का बराबर एक सम, तो भाइयो यह मान।
English Translation:
Whether Turk or Brahmin, whether cunning Yogi,
All are equal in the same way, so understand this, brothers.
8. जिन पैदा हुआ काना, सो क्यों दुनी कान धारै।
बुद्धि सांची न लागे, कबीर बैठ खोद ख़रे।
English Translation:
Why does one who is born blind carry a stick?
When one's intellect is unrefined, Kabir suggests introspection.
9. बुरा जो देखन मैं चला, बुरा न मिलिया कोय।
जो दिल खोजा आपना, मुझसे बुरा न कोय।
English Translation:
I went in search of the wicked, but I found no one truly evil.
When I searched within my own heart, I found no one worse than myself.
10. चाहे जो तुरक या ब्राह्मण, चाहे ये योगी सियाना।
सब का बराबर एक सम, तो भाइयो यह मान।
English Translation:
Whether Turk or Brahmin, whether cunning Yogi,
All are equal in the same way, so understand this, brothers.
11. माला फेरत जुग भया, फिरा न मन का फेर।
कबीर का मन बांध लूँ, क्यों डरूं फेर फेर।
English Translation:
The world goes around the rosary, but the mind's rotation doesn't cease.
I'll tether Kabir's mind; why should I fear the whirl?
12. तात दूध न दे, मनहुँ तात दूध कैसे पावै।
कहत कबीर विचारी, जब सूखा आपन जावै।
English Translation:
When the mother doesn't give milk, how can the baby get nourished?
Kabir says, "Reflect on this when you face scarcity."
13. कबीरा सोई राजा, जो दूसरी ओर बैठ।
साबूत लेकर आपने, साबूत बैठे देख।
English Translation:
Kabira is the true king who sits apart from the world's turmoil.
He sits with firm conviction, and his actions speak for themselves.
14. जिन्ह के मन समरथ परमेश्वर, उनको न कोई उबार।
कबीर सो दर्द निवारे, जो निज मन हरषवार।
English Translation:
Those whose hearts are empowered by the Supreme Lord, no one can save them.
Kabir removes the pain of those whose minds are joyful.
15. जब कहिया तुम प्रेम न बिचारी, रे मोह बैरी बिधाता।
कबीर प्रेम न बिचारिये, जो न गोरी है घटा।
English Translation:
When you say you haven't contemplated love, O ignorant one,
Kabir says, don't think of love, if your heart isn't pure.
16. कबीर सो बगीचा, उसको फूल लगे चोर।
साँप लटका वे खाएं, करे परम हदंसुर।
English Translation:
Kabir's garden has blossoms, but thieves come to steal.
Snakes lurk to bite, causing ultimate laughter.
17. कबीरा आपने ही जीवन सुखी, दुख में सुख ना जाने कोय।
जिन्ह के माया न जिन आपने, वे गरीब हैं तजिन रोय।
English Translation:
Kabir, you yourself are content in life; you do not know sorrow even in adversity.
Those who are not attached to worldly illusions are truly poor, as they shed no tears.
18. राज मुहल्ला नहीं है, ये तो दिल की बात है।
कबीरा ने कहा सच्चा संसार, वो संसार यही हाथ है।

There is no realm of kings or beggars; this is a matter of the heart.
Kabira said, "The real world is within you; it lies in your hands."
